Gustavo Fabián Iaies
Gustavo Fabián Iaies is a Primary School Teacher (Escuela Normal de Villa Urbana) and holds a Bachelor Degree in Learning Sciences (UBA). He earned a Master´s Degree in Education specializing in Education with a focus on Educational Policy and Administration at Universidad San Andrés. Teacher and headteacher at primary school, teacher at secondary school and professor at university. Director of Fundación CEPP (Centro de Estudios en Políticas Públicas). General coordinator at the Escuela Iberoamericana de Gobierno Educativo (EIGE). Director of Centro de Recursos para la Evaluación y el Cambio Educativo (CRECE). Coordinator of the Institutional Counseling and Assessment Program at ORT Argentina. He has coordinated several groups of public officials at several Ministries of Education in Latin American (those in charge of communication, assessment, planning, educational materials, teachers´ training).
He was also counselor at the Ministries of Education in Chile, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil and Costa Rica. He also coordinated the network of exchange of experiences among public officials in the educational sector in Latin America for the World Bank and the subregional meetings of “Diálogo Regional de Políticas Educativas” (2002-2007).
He was Undersecretary and Secretary of Education at the Ministry of Education of the Nation (1999-2001).
He is also author of LOS DEBATES DE LA POLÍTICA EDUCATIVA EN EL NUEVO MILENIO Conversaciones con los protagonistas de la toma de decisiones.
